Back in 1985, we opened our first brick-and-mortar shop in a leased building on
Baxter Avenue in Louisville’s up-and-coming Highland’s shopping district. Our
business grew, and after ten years, we were able to purchase and renovate our
own building just a few blocks north, which enabled us to enlarge our Retail Shop
and Interior Design Services. As we matured and the market changed, we
expanded into offering complete downsizing and transitional Estate Sales and
Appraisal services. After 38+ years of managing the daily operation of a retail
shop, we decided to make a turn and closed our shop in April 2024 with
excitement about our future plans.
Renaissance by Design/MLS Estate Sales is still very much alive and well – even
more so. You can now find your connection to our services and select
merchandise through our online portals. We continue offering our acclaimed
estate sale services, fun and unique online auctions, tangible asset appraisals, and award-winning interior design services.
You can still shop our distinctive merchandise in person at our booths in
Mellwood Antiques & Interiors (Ask for Dealer 403 and 418) and at Consignments
Plus (Ask for Dealer 403.)
